Barbara Jean Mohrmann Wakeham was born December 1, 1933 in French Camp, CA to Elmer Charles Mohrmann and Margaret Louise (Myers) Mohrmann.
She was a life long resident of Clements, CA, and a graduate of Lodi Union High School and Delta Community College. Barbara was a homemaker and later pursued a career in accounting and ultimately served as the West Coast Controller of Canandaigua Wine Corporation and Special Assistant to the President of NuCal Food Corporation. Barbara enjoyed travelling to six continents and 50 of the United States.
Her volunteer activities included Boy Scout Leader, Camp Fire Girl Leader, Mothers Club (Past President), Lodi Boat & Ski Club (Board Member), Business & Professional Women, Corvettes of Lodi (Past President) Gold Coast Allegros (Past President), Woman’s Club of Lodi Board Member, and Lodi Historical Society (Board Member).
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband William, and son Bruce. She is survived by Tommy Camp, her daughters; Denise Bostick (Keith) & Michele Wakeham (Gregory Butler), Grandchildren; Adam Wakeham (Sarah), Matthew Wakeham, Jalyne deJong (Larsen), Joseph DeSoto, Nicole Rosales, Blake Bostick (Casey Silva), Annie Bostick, 9 great grandchildren, and a vast number of other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Glen View Cemetery in Clements on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Woman’s Club of Lodi. Donations in Barbara’s memory may be sent to Lodi House.
